FILM WEEKS iCALENDAR i MILAN FILM WEEK [APRIL 08]

For the second consecutive year, Med-Screen has partnered with the African, Asian and Latin American Film Festival, to present a parallel section to its 18th edition, entitled Arabica.

The event, held in Milan, Italy, took place between the 7th and the 13th of April 2008. The selection was composed of 8 feature films, 2 documentaries and 7 short Arab MEDA films.

10 filmmakers were invited by the consortium to present their latest works to the Milanese public:

Daoud Aoulad-Syad director of the Moroccan feature film Waiting for Pasolini
Izza Genini director of the Moroccan documentary Nuba
Nasri Hajjaj director of the Palestinian documentary Shadow of Absence
Hichem Yacoubi director of the Moroccan short film Bon Anniversaire
Karim Fanous director of the Egyptian short film Clean Hands, Dirty Soap
Khadija Leclerc director of the Moroccan short film Sarah
Mohamed Achaour director of the Moroccan short film Percussion Kid
Samy El Hajdirector of the Tunisian short film Fooska
