Camera moves a lot : sometimes moving camera, camera crane and shoulder camera. To me, this is a historical movie, based on costumes. A costume drama, since what happens occurs in 1860 and the plot speaks about an ancient kind of fight, «M’chaoucha ».
For what concerns lights, editing and techniques, we started all the preparation a year in advance.
We made on-the-spot investigations in several towns in the Kingdom of Morocco: Fès, which is the town where the plot mainly takes place, and then Meknès, Séfrou, Ouarzazate, Tichka. Landscape is very important in this movie.
