I’ve really loved the screen play and the way it has been written. Besides, it’s a historical film with special costumes, set in 1860.
I play the main female character «Saadia», who’s Hajj L’mafadel’s, an important trader in Fès, daughter. She is his only child and he loves her more than anything else. She has a love affair with Slimane and their love defies all taboos, especially for that time.
The kidnapping scene is very important. And, after having read the screen play, I’ve been attracted by this scene and since the shooting has started I’ve been waiting for that day. A scene like this takes a long physical and mental training.
