Rachida Saadi - Producer
We're into the third week and everything is going well; I think Hassan Ben Jalloun is happy because he says he's already saved his film.
The technical crew is excellent... compared to other films the facilities are great: I mean just in terms of film available, hire and purchase of equipment, cameras... Previously it was a real problem, we had all kinds of bother, but now we have suppliers who bring the camera right on set... and we no longer need to bring in equipment from outside, we have it all here.
The estimated cost of the film was 5 million Dirham and we're going to try and keep to that. So far we're on track, I think we can make it with a bit of juggling... We can make a good film, but we can't do everything we'd like; I mean we cannot say yes to all the director's requests, all his dreams. I mean we have to fit the budget. We have a budget and we stick to it... the director understands and I think that's the main thing: everyone has to adapt and that's the secret of how to make a good film in Morocco. |
