dash Part of the Euromed Audiovisual II, Medscreen is a program that endeavors to endorse the Arab film industry of the 8 Arab MEDA countries.

The main objective of this project is to enhance the visibility of these films and to increase their chances of being commercialized, through the five following activities:

  • The organization of "Arab Film Weeks" in movie theaters that are implanted in Europe and the 8 Arab MEDA countries.
  • The Support for Arab films right holders' to attend the main film markets in Europe (Cannes, Berlin…)
  • The creation of a Website for the Arab Cinema, which will work as an online library for professionals as well as film lovers (www.arabcinemadirectory.com)    
  • The shooting and release of 'Making of' of Arab films in two formats: a short version which will appear on various websites to promote the film, and a longer version to feature as a bonus on the DVD of the film.    
  • The support of DVD producers through the addition of new languages to the DVDs of Arab films and the insurance of a better promotion of these DVDs.
