Wissam Arafa – Set Designer

What attracted me most of this film is that it is dealing with a random person and his views on incidents happening in another country.
I am studying filmmaking, yet this is my first experience as an art director. The main location is the leading actor's studio during which half of the film takes place. Being a photographer, he is meticulous, has a certain memory and is deciphering its details. He collects various things wherever he goes and this is shown in the set design. He is very keen on having these details in his life.
There are interior and exterior locations. For the interiors, we have redecorated an apartment in Maadi, and there are other locations in which the set and the accessories change according to the characters. As to the exteriors, we are shooting in Cornish Al Maadi, the Pyramids, and in Alexandria.
