MAKING OF d Baby Doll Night [EG]

Directed by Adel Adeeb

Shot in Cairo, Egypt on 27-28/09/2007
Making of directed by Amro Alhadidy

Nour El Sherif - Actor

I play the role of an Egyptian TV reporter. Because of his job, he witnessed several crises in the history of the region including the Iranian-Iraqi war, the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait, the American war on Iraq which has been labeled as “liberation”. Throughout this journey, he observes the multiple mistakes which are committed daily. These mistakes are actual facts and not fictive pretensions. Therefore he was able to shoot some one of these faults which occurred in front of him. This has led to his arrest, a turning point in within his personality.
I have a large history of films with a cast of ‘A stars.’ Therefore, I think that several stars can meet on the same plateau on the condition that each would have a role that would please him.
I wish we could as Egyptian artists, thinkers and intellectuals present our point of view to the Western and particularly Americans public opinion. I hope that the script that has been carved by Abdelhay Adeeb as well as the treatment visualized by the director Adel Adeeb will be able to send a clear message that says: “please try to understand us as we understand you. Don’t create misconceived judgments before putting an effort in order to comprehend us.”
Try to understand us in this film.
