MAKING OF d Baby Doll Night [EG]

Directed by Adel Adeeb

Shot in Cairo, Egypt on 27-28/09/2007
Making of directed by Amro Alhadidy

Mahmoud Abdel Aziz ñ Actor

It’s the story of an Egyptian man who has been living in the US for a while. He accompanies a convoy to Egypt on New Year’s Eve. In this particular night, he will meet his wife whom he had not seen for a year. During this time, he was treated for sterility as he wished to have a child before he gets old.
The reason why I came back to the acting scene after a period of hiatus is the script, written by the great late writer Abdelhay Adeeb. I think it is a well-structured script, with a beginning, a plot and an end in a genre that can be branded as black comedy.
I hope that this film will grant access to important markets for the Egyptian films in foreign countries, which serves the strategy of “Good News”. I also wish that this film will be both a visual and an intellectual delight for the local and the international audiences.
