This adventure with Brahim (Tsaki) is much older than this film. We have always been friends. Before he started to make films, Brahim has studied at the national drama school, his initial formation. Now he's coming back with this film in which I took so much pleasure while working. I know him quite well, so it was at the same time an easy yet difficult task for me. I'd understand instantly through his look that he wants to explain something to me, which is totally normal in order to direct and orient me. I didn't have any trouble in following him through his fantasy and I hope he would like what I did.
In this film, I play the role of the one whom Tsaki calls 'The Other.' I am someone who came from no where, planted in the immensity of the desert. He's the only one who knows where he came from. |
