Brahim Tsaki - Screenwriter and director

There is indeed a love story between the guide and the new girl who comes in, and then there is own love, shared with the girl of his own region. There is, of course, a kind of dramatic frame which is undeniable: it spells out in the fact that the man from the North through his humanistic touch, always seeks to, as they say, help with his honesty. Yet his way of doing it always leads to a catastrophe, which is what happens in the film. This is, in a way, my own summary to the plot, how I feel this story and how I want it to be.

I have lived in Belgium, France and here. I think those themes appear, as part of my personal life, and emerge in the film. That might have to deal with my itinerary as a human being, as we say in Arabic "al siraa" or the North-South conflict. A conflict which used to be a colonizing-colonized one but now it turned into a glaring and violent North-South conflict even if there are neither militants nor anything.
